Akshay founded Leverage.biz (that today operates flagships Leverage Edu, Fly Finance & Fly Homes) in early 2017, which today is trying to become a platform of choice for young Indians who want to become global citizens. The company now helps tens of thousands of students every year figure everything from where to go, why to go, when to go, and how to go. And once gone, it sets up a new immigrant system for them. Last year, after its successful Series C raise from the US, the company is actively expanding into Nigeria & Middle East as source markets as well.
Raised over $70Mn from a mix of globally renowned institutions, well-respected family offices, and industry-leading operators. Akshay was listed on the Forbes India’s 30Under30 list, and then subsequently on the Forbes Asia’s 30Under30 list, both in early 2020. He became a CNBC Young Turk, named eponymously after India’s top business/ entrepreneurship show, in 2019. Later that year, he also won the TiE Entrepreneurial Excellence Award.
