MAKEing the Future: Yellow School Bus to Cutting Edge Mobile Makerspace
The CV MakerBus 537 is a mobile maker lab that visits all schools in the Cajon Valley Union School District, providing 16,500 students and 750 teachers access to technology in order to couple topics in STEM with hands-on maker activities. The bus originated as School Bus 537 used for student transportation to and from school. Now it has been transformed with Mac-mini computers, a 3D printer, laser cutter, drawers full of circuit kits, robots, and tinkering tools! Because of the mobile aspect, the bus is able to travel from school to school, working with students to engage in Engineering and Technology challenges.
