KIPP Chicago is committed to developing high quality academically rigorous K-8 schools in Chicago’s under-resourced communities. While we are proud to have achieved the highest school rating of any school across the city, at KIPP One we understand student achievement should not be the only metric of success. By adopting a Whole Child approach, KIPP Chicago has begun to evolve our model by centering student, teacher and community wellbeing. This session will showcase the learnings gained by both the challenges and successes of our school design and the integration of a more holistic philosophy to education.
