Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of Physics Wallah (PW) and Co-Chair of the StartUp Committee, FICCI, is dedicated to bridging the education gap and empowering students with affordable, high-quality education. He embarked on this mission with the establishment of PW in 2020, in collaboration with Prateek Maheshwari (Co-Founder, PW), offering a comprehensive curriculum for JEE and NEET aspirants. Today, PW has become a multinational company with presence in 98% of pincodes in India and robust presence in the Gulf region as well. PW is a educational company that spans schools, competitive test preparation, offline and hybrid learning, skill development, and residential job-ready programs. As a lifelong learning partner, PW supports students at every stage of their educational journey.Alakh's visionary leadership, immense love for students, passion for education, and deep understanding of the gaps in the education system, rooted in his experiences as both a student and a teacher, fuel his commitment to transforming education in India. Coming from a humble background, he recognized early on the significant affordability gap in accessing quality education. To address this, he launched a YouTube channel called Physics Wallah in 2014, which has since grown into a leading EdTech company in India, achieving the 101st unicorn status in 2022.Born in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Alakh Pandey's vision is to democratise education at scale in India, making it accessible to all students.
