Tennealle O'Shannessy

Tennealle O’Shannessy is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of IDP Education.Tennealle has more than twenty-five years professional experience, in online education, employment platforms and e-commerce businesses.Earlier in her career, Tennealle was a consultant with global tier-one management consulting firm Kearney. Tennealle then spent almost ten years with SEEK, a market leader in online employment marketplaces and education services, where she held the role of Managing Director – Americas. Whilst at Seek, she also held global strategy-focused positions, including the start-up of Online Education Services, a partnership between SEEK and Swinburne University.Tennealle moved to be the CEO of online beauty retailer, Adore Beauty where she led the company’s listing on the ASX in 2020, before joining IDP in February 2023.A mother to three young children, Tennealle has a lifelong passion for learning. Tennealle has an MBA (Deans List) from Melbourne Business School, holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was awarded the Chief Executive Women Scholarship by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
