Alex Sarlin

Alex Sarlin is the Global EdTech Lead on the ASU+GSV Summit Team. He is the founder and host of EdTech Insiders, the leading newsletter and podcast covering the global education technology industry, read by leaders across education, technology, and venture capital.

With more than 15 years of experience as a product manager and learning engineer, Alex has held roles at organizations including Coursera, 2U, Skillshare, and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. He has led teams impacting millions of learners worldwide and holds patents in online learning systems.

Alex serves as a Senior Advisor at Cambiar Education, where he leads discovery programs focused on transformative edtech companies, with a particular emphasis on AI in education. He also maintains the EdTech Insiders Generative AI Map, tracking how artificial intelligence is being integrated across the education landscape. Alex holds an Executive MBA from Quantic and an MA in Instructional Design and Technology from Columbia University.
