AJ Phillips is an accomplished educator and leader with extensive expertise in instructional and information technology, administrative leadership, budget management, project management, and professional development. With over 28 years in education, AJ has a proven track record of implementing digital innovation initiatives and leading state and local technology planning for K-12. As Director of Information and Instructional Technology at Prince William County Public Schools since 2015, AJ manages a WAN supporting 90,000 students and oversees a $45 million IT budget. She has advanced student learning through a 1:1 device program and improved data analysis and multilingual communication with stakeholders via a new messaging system. Previously, AJ was Supervisor of Instructional Technology, integrating technology into instruction and leading professional development. She also served as the Teaching American History Grant Administrative Coordinator, supporting middle and high school teachers. AJ holds an M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton and an M.A. in New Professional Studies from George Mason University. Recognized by the Center for Digital Education as a top 30 technologist, transformer, and trailblazer, she continues to drive innovation and excellence in educational technology.
