Aly, a doctoral student and teaching assistant at the University of Georgia, brings over a decade of experience in education. Her journey began as a K-12 teacher in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA, where she later transitioned to an instructional coach supporting new teachers across Georgia. Aly's passion lies in advocating for flexible, personalized, and student-driven learning environments in public schools. Her current research focuses on the evolution of teachers' roles as they transition from traditional to personalized, student-driven learning spaces. She also explores the transformative potential of AI in K-12 and higher education. With a vision of AI-human partnerships, Aly supports educators in developing flexible learning environments that respond to students' ideas, needs, interests, and backgrounds. She envisions leveraging AI to generate personalized learning plans, foster active and deep learning, and facilitate collaboration. Aly's work bridges the gap between educational theory and practice, aiming to revolutionize learning experiences through innovative approaches and technology integration. Her research contributes to the ongoing dialogue about the future of education, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and personalization in meeting diverse student needs.
