Her aptitude for innovation is not new, stemming from a long career that has spanned nearly every level of the PK-12 education system. This journey began with deep roots as a public school educator in North Texas, where she built a strong foundation in the classroom. Gaylord's career spans roles as a teacher, principal, executive director, and deputy chief, where she innovated educational practices. She was instrumental in opening the nation's first Net Zero middle school and led a technology revolution that made her district a top digital school district. Academically, Gaylord is a proud alumna of the University of North Texas, where she earned a degree in kinesiology. She furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles. Her dedication to public education is deeply personal, rooted in a family legacy of service. Her mother served over 40 years, and her father dedicated over 50 years to the elementary and middle school levels within the Texas public school system, instilling in Angie a profound commitment to the mission of public education.
