Casey Welch is the Vice President of Career at Pearson Education, the world’s leading learning company serving more than 160 million learners annually. In this role, Casey plays a key leadership role in Pearson Virtual Schools’ career strategy, focused on building partnerships that connect early talent with education, industry, and government to drive meaningful career pathways. Earlier in his career, Casey identified a significant gap in the workforce recruitment ecosystem—the lack of a trusted intermediary between early talent and opportunity. To address this, he co-founded Tallo, which grew from an idea into one of the largest and most diverse self-populated early-talent career platforms in the country. Casey has since developed and led early-talent pre-recruitment strategies with enterprise clients across major sectors including technology, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, retail, automotive, and logistics. These included employers such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, The Home Depot, John Deere, Cummins, Publix, CAT, Abbott Labs, Target, and Walmart to new name a few. Casey is a frequent speaker on Gen Z and early-talent trends and has shared insights at events including the John Deere Inspire Summit, Lockheed Martin STEM Symposium, Walmart Corporate Tech Lunch, South Carolina Governor’s Statewide Workforce Initiative, and the Future World of Work Summit. His work and thought leadership have been featured in Forbes, Fortune, Fast Company, SHRM, CNBC, NBC, Good Morning America, and he has contributed to research and reports with industry leaders such as Lightcast, including co-authoring The Early Talent Playbook: How to Attract a New Generation of Talent. He has served on several national boards, including the Coalition for Career Development Center, American Technical Education Association, HOSA Future Health Professionals 100, and STEM Ecosystems. Casey holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in Secondary Education from Purdue University, where he also earned Academic All–Big Ten honors as a member of the football team (kicker, of course).
