Claudia leads strategic initiatives, cross-sector partnerships, and daily operations at the Learning Transformation Studios in Los Angeles, focusing on K-16 education, innovation, and technology.With decades of experience in higher education, she has taught courses on second language acquisition, equity, and literacy at Whittier College and universities in San Francisco and Philadelphia. She also led K-8 teacher development as Associate Director at the Broadoaks Children’s School of Whittier College.Before joining ASU, Claudia spent a decade at USC in leadership roles, including Managing Director of the Center for Engagement-Driven Global Education at Rossier School of Education. She developed partnerships, facilitated research, and led operations. At the USC Shoah Foundation, she directed global research, evaluation, and educational strategies, playing a key role in AI and VR-enabled learning tools and securing a $10M gift for the Willesden Project.She has published and presented on cross-sector partnerships, most recently at the American Educational Research Association.An immigrant who grew up in Boyle Heights, Claudia earned her B.A. and Ph.D. from UCLA. She enjoys painting, documentaries, traveling, and exploring LA’s food scene with family, friends, and her 16-year-old schnoodle, Lexie.
