Lirvana Labs

Dan is the Head of Product at Lirvana Labs, a Silicon Valley edtech startup dedicated to co-designing AI "Mission Control Centers" for global K-12 educators and school leaders. His work focuses on developing multi-modal formative assessment experiences that balances learning science and student engagement to bring meaningful instructional insights to educators. Dan’s approach is deeply informed by his years as a classroom teacher. This classroom experience allows him to serve as a bridge between technical innovation and the daily realities of the classroom. Under his product vision, Lirvana Labs has been honored with MIT Solve’s Global Learning Challenge Award (2024), IEI’s Superintendent Choice Award, and Hong Kong’s Outstanding AI & Learning Teaching App. Lirvana Labs has also partnered with Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop to co-design AI learning coaches with students in New York City (NYC). Dan’s commitment to equity is central to his work. He helped implement the first district-wide AI personalized learning solution for multilingual learners in the NYC DOE, as well as across Charter School networks in Texas and California. Previously, as a Product Manager at Edmentum, he contributed to platforms impacting 1.5 million students with ESSA Tier 2 evidence-based outcomes. A Harvard Graduate School of Education Entrepreneurship Fellow and Harvard Innovation Labs alumnus, Dan also researched organizational learning at Project Zero alongside Fortune 100 Chief Learning Officers. He combines these practitioner insights with rigorous research to build responsible, evidence-based AI solutions that empower educators and support students worldwide.
