Daniel Schwartz is a Professor of Educational Technology and Dean of the Stanford Graduate School of Education. He leads the cross-university Stanford Accelerator for Learning, which seeks to generate new knowledge, render it into a useable form, and bring it to scale through partnerships with the public and corporate sectors. Professor Schwartz taught secondary school in Kenya, South Central Los Angeles, and Kaltag Alaska, before going back to school to study instructional technology and then cognitive science. He has received numerous professional awards for his research on figuring out how to help people learn the hard stuff.
