Drew Coleman
Associate Chief of Schools (K-12 Leader)

Drew Coleman is a dedicated education leader serving as the Associate Chief of Schools for Denver Public Schools (DPS). In this role, he oversees Early Childhood Education, Elementary, and K-8 Schools, leading a principal supervision team to foster a collaborative and supportive environment that drives student success. His leadership also extends to Extended Learning and Community Schools, Outdoor Education, K-12 school-based unified improvement planning, leader hiring, and data analysis for the Office of Schools. Previously, Drew served as the Regional Assistant Instructional Superintendent for DPS’s Southeast region (K-12), directly supervising school principals and supporting instructional leadership. Prior to that, he was the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development for Alamogordo Public Schools, where he oversaw elementary, middle, and high school principals while guiding district teaching and learning specialists. He played a key role in implementing New Mexico’s Early Childhood Education program and advancing English Language Learner initiatives. Drew holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport and has received specialized training in school turnaround and systemic change from the University of Virginia. He is a graduate of the District Administration National Superintendent’s Academy and the Educational Leadership Forum.
