Throughout her distinguished 15-year career in education, Jazlyn Mena has dedicated herself to delivering high-quality, transdisciplinary instruction that champions diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. As a Holmes Scholar and Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT) alumna, she brings a deep commitment to educational equity and excellence to her role as Director of Instructional Programs and Professional Learning on the DLI team. In this position, she enhances citywide capacity to design and implement student-centered, 21st-century digital learning pedagogy and technology integration, while developing a comprehensive professional learning catalog and fostering learner-centered capacity building to create and sustain cohesive, adaptive digital learning ecosystems. Jazlyn holds a Master's degree in Bilingual Education from City College and is triple certified in Bilingual Education, Special Education, and School Building Leadership. Her unwavering commitment to lifelong learning propels her pursuit of a Ph.D. in Innovation in Curriculum and Instruction at Fordham University, where she specializes in STEAM education.
