Kevin Le

Dashboard Instructional Coach

Santa Ana Unified School District

Kevin is a dashboard instructional coach dedicated to leveraging AI to create equitable and transformative learning experiences for students, particularly for SPED and EL learners. In SAUSD, Kevin has designed and led the AI-Cademy professional development series, a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering educators to use AI to enhance teaching and learning. Through AI-Cademy, Kevin supports educators in integrating AI tools to create differentiated, student-centered environments that meet the unique needs of SPED and EL students at every school site. As the architect of the SPED GPT, a tailored AI tool formed in collaboration with and for SPED educators, Kevin provides teachers with personalized support around IEPs, PLPs, and even for SPED service providers. Additionally, Kevin is the creator of the "Guardians of Digitopolis" Digital Citizenship Challenge, an interactive, gamified experience that empowers students to learn about digital citizenship through engaging and immersive storytelling. This challenge promotes responsible online behavior, critical thinking, and digital literacy, while simultaneously fostering a deeper understanding of how students can use technology ethically and safely. At the core of Kevin's work is a belief in leading learning and using AI with a lens of curiosity and wonder. He hopes to inspire educators to approach AI as a tool for exploration, creativity, and innovation, while also using their own human intelligence and compassion to influence the way they prompt AI, ensuring that the technology is aligned with the needs and values of both educators and students. Through this thoughtful approach, Kevin fosters an AI-powered classroom where both technology and humanity come together to create equitable opportunities for all learners.
