Over the course of her 25-year career in education, Laurie Forcier has been driven by the power of connection to effect change. She has worked for and with some of the world’s most established and respected education organizations (Harvard University, Pearson, ISTE) as well as for sector-leading startups (Learnit and Educate Ventures Research), bringing to each a holistic, ecosystem-based approach to understanding and improving education, and a knack for breaking down complex concepts into practical, usable ideas. She is now Vice President for Strategy for EDT&Partners, a boutique global strategy consulting firm focused solely on the business of education.Laurie is dedicated to fostering understanding and engagement across a variety of audiences, and believes that the practice of education thought leadership should be a broad church. She has written and spoken internationally on the future of education, skills, and work; AI in education; the imperative for supporting educators in the use of technology (and how we can do it); and why evidence is key to unlocking the full power of EdTech for teaching and learning. Laurie is having most fun when playing education matchmaker—whether goosing serendipity or connecting seemingly disparate people or ideas—and is determined to break down silos in our sector for the collective betterment of education ecosystems.
