An innovative elementary teacher, I have been teaching for 23 years. Throughout this time, I've taught kindergarten through 4th grades. Leveraging EdTEch and AI, and facilitating thinking routines, and design thinking projects, I work to create engaging, student-centered learning opportunities. My recent experience as a Fellow in the Cultures of Thinking program has further strengthened my approach. Currently teaching third grade, I strive to inspire curiosity, cultivate creativity, and promote critical thinking, and I'm always excited to explore new possibilities for enhancing learning. In my classroom, we have explored a few platforms over the past few years that allow students to use AI, making sure to develop their AI literacy skills through the process. As a consultant, I collaborate with EdTech companies on how to empower teachers with the knowledge and understanding they need to effectively use their products. I help teachers see the potential of these tools, demonstrating their ease of use and practical applications in the classroom. Additionally, I partner with companies to co-design products that are both accessible and age-appropriate for young users.
