Moses Ojeda

Moses Ojeda is a lifelong champion of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and a distinguished Master Principal, guiding schools in developing career-connected learning pathways that prepare students for careers in business, education, healthcare, and technology. Through his leadership, students engage in career-connected learning, gaining both practical and theoretical knowledge to thrive in the modern workforce. A proud graduate of Thomas A. Edison CTE High School, Mr. Ojeda’s 30-year journey has transformed Edison into New York City’s premier CTE institution, now offering 13 distinct programs and boasting the highest industry certification rates in the city. Holding a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Technology, along with numerous industry certifications, Mr. Ojeda demonstrates a relentless commitment to innovation in education. Starting as an IT educator at Edison, he quickly rose to become the department head, launching pioneering CTE programs in Cybersecurity, Medical Assisting, and Robotics Engineering. Since becoming Principal in 2012, he has expanded Edison’s influence beyond its own walls, advising and assisting other schools in implementing cutting-edge CTE programs. Leading a future-ready education initiative, Mr. Ojeda has spearheaded a Research and Development team dedicated to integrating AI and emerging technologies into education. This initiative focuses on developing AI-integrated curricula, equipping teachers with AI-enhanced instructional strategies, and fostering student engagement with real-world applications of AI. As part of this work, he is teaching an AI Fundamentals course citywide in Spring 2025, preparing NYC students for an industry-recognized certification. This initiative aligns with his broader mission of ensuring students develop essential 21st-century skills, including digital literacy, problem-solving, and adaptability, to navigate an evolving technological landscape. With a vision for education that is both innovative and career-driven, Moses Ojeda continues to redefine college and career readiness, ensuring that students and educators alike are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
