Nakita Saxon serves as the Director of Culture and Inclusion for Human Resources at Arizona State University (ASU), where he leads institutional efforts to strengthen ASU’s culture of belonging, collaboration, and organizational excellence. His work focuses on advancing inclusion through shared responsibility, aligning culture strategy across the ASU public enterprise, and developing evidence-informed initiatives that enhance leadership capacity and workplace engagement. As a Faculty Associate for the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Nakita teaches and mentors future leaders on the principles of inclusive leadership and organizational ethics. He previously served as a Subject Matter Expert Fellow with ASU’s Social Transformation Lab and as a Faculty Associate with the ASU New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, where he contributed to the design of inclusive curricula, pedagogical innovation, and institutional change initiatives. Nakita’s professional expertise spans strategic planning, organizational culture development, equity and inclusion frameworks, and program implementation. His prior leadership roles, including Director of Strategic Initiatives and Associate Director of Cultural Connection, reflect a deep commitment to fostering learning environments that prioritize human connection, empathy, and innovation. He holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Wright State University. His professional certifications include Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, Dare to Lead, and The Storytelling Leader. Nakita is an active member of the National Association for Diversity Officers in Higher Education and the Society for Human Resource Management.
