Ronnie King is the founder of the MyVillage Project, a community education platform that organizes culturally-relevant educational and workforce development opportunities for over 15,000 students of color. Ronnie is also the chair of the MyVillage Project Community Fund, which invests in innovative community projects designed by local volunteers and stakeholders. The fund has distributed over $4M in funds and supported the projects of over 200 Black-led nonprofits throughout Florida. Ronnie is also the CEO of Scratchwerk Technology, a tech incubator committed to increasing Black representation within the field of technology. As the current President of the 100 Black Men of Jacksonville, Ronnie led the creation of the “J100 Coding in Color” summer camp series and tech training initiative which has reached over 500 students since 2018. As a result of this initiative, students have collectively earned over $800K while acquiring new skills related to game development, data analytics and artificial intelligence. Ronnie also serves as the President and co-chair of the Annual Urban Ed Symposium and has been appointed to serve on several city boards and commissions, including chair of the Library Board of Trustees and the Safety & Crime Reduction Commission. Through his service on additional boards Ronnie has designed and participated in many educational opportunities for Duval County. Ronnie is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and a proud father of two beautiful daughters.
