What does it mean to have a given skill? How can one prove they possess this skill? How might an employer gauge the skill level of an individual? The answer is almost certainly not through a series of multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions.In this interactive session, attendees will break into teams. Each team will be presented with an in-demand skill - one employers have deemed critical for the future of work. We will then walk through a process to help each team develop innovative new methods that may be used to measure learning so school, employers and students alike can develop a common language and consistent expectations. This interactive session will be rooted in assessment quality indicators developed by the Competency-Based Education Network (CBEN).
