Goldie Hawn, Carole Basile & Deborah Quazzo on MindUP, SEL & Student Wellbeing | ASU+GSV Summit 2026

Goldie Hawn (Founder, The Goldie Hawn Foundation) joins Carole Basile (Dean and Professor, Arizona State University, Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation) and moderator Deborah Quazzo (Managing Partner, GSV Ventures) at the ASU+GSV Summit in “MindUp with Goldie Hawn” to examine how brain science-backed EdTech can enrich learning and metacognitive discovery.

Hawn founded The Goldie Hawn Foundation more than two decades ago in response to growing concerns around school violence, youth depression, and suicide, with a focus on helping children cope with stressful lives. Working with neuroscientists, educators, psychologists, and researchers, the Foundation developed MindUP, an evidence-based CASEL SELect program that helps children build self-regulation, understand emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, strengthen concentration, increase empathy, and support academic performance. MindUP is delivered through an interactive online learning platform and now reaches more than 7 million children in 48 countries.
