Women comprised 30% of computer science majors the 1990s, but have declined to 16% today. A recent argument has been made that the decline was precipitated by the advent of the home computer and it’s dominant use by boys -- encouraged by society and “interest”. This group will debate whether that argument holds and how we can reverse the tide.
