Jonathan Rosenberg, senior vice president at Alphabet and an advisor to the company’s management team, and Alan Eagle, a director of executive communications at Google, will share extraordinary, behind-the-scenes business wisdom from their book with Eric Schmidt, TRILLION DOLLAR COACH: The Leadership Playbook of Silicon Valley’s Bill Campbell (Harper Business; April 16). During the discussion, Eagle and Rosenberg will share details from their own coaching experiences with Bill and the interviews they conducted with over 80 people with whom Campbell worked, including Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Wojcicki, Marissa Mayer, John Doerr, Mary Meeker, and members of the boards of Apple, Google, Intuit, and Columbia University. Through these stories, Rosenberg and Eagle will share specific strategies and action steps to help managers implement Bill’s principles and emulate his winning approach, including how to make people feel valued, encourage debate, build trust, reinforce a team-first mindset and build a loving community at work. By open sourcing Bill’s principles and sharing stories of how they have worked for others, his methods can inspire people at all levels to become more effective managers and leaders.
