Closing the Gaps That Matter at the 2021 ASU+GSV Summit. There is a gap in student learning that deserves our attention—the gap in deeper learning experiences for black and brown and economically disadvantaged students. Deeper learning empowers students with not only rigorous academic content, but also the ability to transfer their knowledge while using essential skills and mindsets—that prepares them as lifelong learners in this uncertain, ever-changing world.In this session, participants will learn how school superintendents have used their vision for deeper learning/Portrait of a Graduate during the pandemic to keep their organizations focused. The panelists will also share their perspectives on how educational leaders can use this moment in time to shape a new vision for education - one that prepares all students to thrive and contribute and results in equitable, 21st century outcomes.
