I am writing to share my background as a dedicated educational leader with 36 years of experience serving K-12 students, educators, and communities. Currently, I serve as the Superintendent of Belton ISD in Texas, where my focus remains on igniting change, building purposeful community partnerships, and achieving meaningful outcomes for every learner.During my tenure at Belton ISD, I led the district to elevate its overall rating from a "C" to a "B" through targeted curriculum enhancements, improved professional learning, and strategic data monitoring. I collaborated with over 80 community stakeholders to design the "Journey of a Graduate" vision and facilitated a 5-year strategic scorecard model to transition our school board toward outcomes-focused governance.My operational and executive experience includes oversight of $170M in bond projects and leading structural budget reductions of over $18 million to return the district to a balanced budget. Prior to my current role, I served as Deputy Superintendent at Belton ISD, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning at Georgetown ISD, and Chief of Staff at Leander ISD.I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin. I am an active participant in state educational organizations and have been recognized as a leadership fellow by both Raise Your Hand Texas and The Holdsworth Center.
