
Scarlet Clouse is the Dean of the College of Education and Director of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Institute at Angelo State University, where she provides strategic leadership in advancing numerous initiatives related to innovation, cybersecurity, an artificial intelligence. Her work in cyber education began with a National Security Agency award and a strategic partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio, which helped establish the foundation for a nationally recognized cybersecurity degree program and many lasting and impactful events at Angelo State.With a strong commitment to aligning education with workforce and industry needs, Scarlet has led cross-sector collaborations among higher education, K12 systems, industry partners, and community organizations. These efforts have focused on creating cyber resilient communities, promoting digital responsibility, and strengthening partnerships that result in robust learning opportunities for Angelo State students.A lifelong educator, Scarlet is particularly engaged in the evolving role of higher education in preparing a future-ready workforce, with a focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and their impact on education, industry, and economic development.
