Eric Bethel

Eric Bethel is an education and executive leader who lives at the intersection of teaching, learning, and leadership. With more than a decade of experience as both a Principal and Instructional Superintendent in DC Public Schools, he currently oversees 15 schools serving more than 7,500 students and supervises school principals across Washington, D.C.Eric previously led the transformation of Turner Elementary School from one of the city’s lowest-performing schools to one of its fastest improving, earning the David Rubenstein Award for Excellence in School Leadership. A former Division I athlete and passionate advocate for sports-based education and dual language learning, Eric believes deeply in the power of schools to expand opportunity and help every child thrive.
