Frances Baez

Frances Baez is a twin and one of three daughters of an immigrant mother born in Zacatecas, Mexico. Dr. Baez attended public schools in LA Unified and has dedicated her career to education teaching in elementary schools, adult schools, and in the university setting in teacher preparation programs.She has led as a school principal, director and most recently as Local District Superintendent. She is the Chief Academic Officer at LAUSD where she leads UTK-12 grade instruction, instructional technology, CTE/Linked Learning, Community Schools and Beyond the Bell programs. Her goal is to prepare students to Be Ready for the World!
