Jay O’Callaghan

Jay O’Callaghan serves as Chief Online Officer for Kean Global and Vice President for Transformational Learning at Kean University. Kean Global is responsible for expanding the university’s reach and equitable access through online programming, strategic partnerships, and degree completion initiatives. In Jay’s tenure at the University, Kean Global unit has seen significant growth anchored by strategic program expansion, enhanced recruitment & retention strategies, and strategic partnerships with area employers.Jay comes to Kean with two decades of senior leadership experience in the Education & Learning vertical, focused on digital transformation and operational excellence. Prior to joining Kean, Jay was Vice President for Higher Education at Stride, where he helped the virtual K-12 school provider pivot to become a lifelong learning enterprise. Before working with Stride, Jay held a progression of senior leadership positions at several leading Education & Learning providers including Pearson and Wiley, helping them develop strategic and scalable digital transformation plans in the space.
