Sam Livingstone

Education Technology Leader

Sam Livingstone is Education Technology Leader with the Prince Edward Island Department of Education and Early Years. With 13 years of teaching experience in Alberta and a background in non-profit STEAM programming, Sam now guides EdTech services for PEI’s K–12 system. They are currently leading the province’s strategic work around the implementation and ethical use of AI in the classroom. Sam joined the Department of Education and Early Years in 2022. Now in her fourth year as Education Technology Leader, she guides the strategic implementation of technology services for the Island’s K–12 public school system. A primary focus of Sam’s current work is leading the initiative on AI use in education, ensuring that emerging technologies are implemented ethically, effectively, and with a focus on student-centered learning.
