Mary Ellen Gitter

Mary Ellen Gitter is the Chief of Staff to Deborah Quazzo and Julia Heiser on the Program Team at the ASU+GSV Summit, where she leverages her strong organizational and leadership skills to support team operations and drive strategic initiatives. With extensive experience in managing high-growth environments, Mary Ellen brings a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail that ensures smooth, efficient workflows at the executive level.

Prior to joining GSV, Mary Ellen was a key contributor at Tegus, where she supported the Co-Founders and Co-CEOs during a period of rapid growth. Her ability to manage complex projects and maintain operational efficiency was instrumental in helping the company continue to scale while upholding its core objectives.

Mary Ellen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina. Passionate about giving back to the community, she volunteers with Make-A-Wish Illinois as a Wish Granter. In her free time, she enjoys watercolor painting, exploring local farmers markets, and walking her dog, Marshall, along the Chicago lakefront.
