Mary McCall Leland

Program Manager

Mary McCall Leland is a Program Manager focused on Higher Education for the ASU+GSV Summit Team. Mary McCall is a strong advocate for innovation in learning and seeks to combine her community building and problem solving skills with her passion for education to create a more equitable society for all learners. Before joining GSV, Mary McCall worked at Deloitte Federal Consulting, where she supported higher education clients and contributed to research on the Higher Ed AI Market Sensing team. Prior to Deloitte, Mary McCall was a Fulbright Scholar in Argentina, where she taught English at the nation's oldest university and directed a bilingual documentary on mental health in higher education. As a fluent Spanish speaker, her career began as a Teach for America Corps member in Nashville, TN, where she taught high school Spanish during the pandemic, both in person and virtually, at a KIPP school.

Mary McCall holds a BSBA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus on business, education, and policy, and a Master of Education from Lipscomb University through the Teach for America partnership program. Outside of work, she teaches hot Vinyasa yoga, is an avid marathon runner, and serves on the KIPP Young Professional Board, in Austin, Texas.
