Expanding Opportunity for HBCU Innovators with USTA Florida

February 19, 2025

We believe that ALL people deserve equal access to the future, and we remain dedicated to not just believing in that vision but actively bringing it to life.

That’s why we’re proud to launch the ASU+GSV HBCU Initiative, in partnership with USTA Florida, which expands on the important foundational work with and among our Innovators of Color community. In collaboration with 12 historically Black institutions, students in business, entrepreneurship, computer science, and education programs will discover new pathways and forge intentional connections at the 2025 ASU+GSV Summit:

As part of an HBCU Summit within the ASU+GSV Summit, students will attend rigorous, tailored programming; connect with entrepreneurs; and be paired with mentors to support their journey. After the Summit, students can participate in job shadowing with leading EdTechs, opening doors to countless opportunities.

In continued collaboration with new partners like USTA Florida and Handshake, and those who have joined us in this work since the beginning—Henry Hipps, Phyllis Lockett, Kaya Henderson, Jeff Livingston, Dr. Michael Sorrell, Carlos Moreno, Adrián Ridner, Anurima Bhargava, and so many others—these efforts will extend beyond the 2025 Summit to ensure we are supporting a diverse and inclusive future that uplifts HSIs and the Indigenous community, as well.
