Glory Days... Stevie Van Zandt at The AI Show!

February 14, 2025

You might know him as Little Steven, Miami Steve, or even Silvio Dante… now, you’ll also know him as the founder of TeachRock and a keynote speaker for The AI Show @ ASU+GSV this April!

His legendary contributions as a founding member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band — including co-producing seminal albums The River and Born in the U.S.A. — have earned him a well-deserved spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but Stevie’s influence resonates throughout the music industry and beyond.

Among his many philanthropic endeavors, Stevie is the founder of TeachRock, a curriculum of innovative, state-certified lesson plans based around popular music, providing immediate common ground with children’s interests and passions no matter the subject. Developed by experienced educators and top experts, this online resource is offered at no cost to educators and individuals everywhere. TeachRock currently includes over 300 lesson plans and is used by more than 65,000 teachers in all 50 states, reaching over 1 million students.

Stevie’s impact on art and culture is undeniable; before working with The Boss, he helped create “the Jersey Shore sound” with the Asbury Jukes, and his work as a songwriter and arranger has been performed by Jackson Browne, Pearl Jam, Darlene Love, and many more. Beyond his prolific music career, Stevie co-starred in all seven seasons of The Sopranos and the award-winning series Lilyhammer, the first original programming for Netflix; he also co-wrote and scored the latter, as well as directed its final episode. Stevie has been honored by the United Nations twice for his political activism, including his founding leadership of Artists United Against Apartheid.

Don’t miss the inimitable Stevie Van Zandt at The AI Show @ ASU+GSV, April 5-7 in San Diego!
