At ASU+GSV, part of our focus scaling "Pre-K to Gray" innovation is ensuring that ALL people have access to the opportunities, ideas, and skills needed to thrive in our modern world. To provide lifelong career training that works for everyone, we must educate and train our workforce for future demands.
That is why we are pleased to announce bestselling author of The World is Flat and New York Times foreign affairs columnist, Tom Friedman, as a keynote speaker at the 2022 Summit. Thomas Friedman is a three-time Pulitzer Prize-winner and author of 7 New York Times Bestsellers. He is renowned for his direct reporting and accessible analysis of complex issues shaping the world. He is a frequent guest on America’s major news shows including Meet the Press and Morning Joe.
A tremendous thank you to our friends at ECMC Group for bringing Thomas Friedman to ASU+GSV 13.0 to discuss the need to educate and train workers at the speed of change – a primary focus of their work. His Stage X appearance will build on the lessons learned in his new book. He will outline the unique challenges facing our post-secondary education systems, such as declining enrollment in four-year degree programs, the increasing need for direct-to-employment pathways, and actions to shape the system to work for everyone.
Following his keynote, he will sit down with ECMC Group President and CEO Jeremy Wheaton for a fireside chat about staying agile, innovative, and responsive to meet the needs of students, employers, and the economy.
Don’t miss your chance to hear Friedman and Wheaton speak at ASU+GSV!
