Multiple Choice Film

"Multiple Choice," a new documentary from "Most Likely to Succeed" executive producer, Ted Dintersmith, offers a powerful look at how one public school district in Winchester, Virginia is redefining what school could be. In a system long dominated by a narrow “college-for-all” narrative, the film reveals how students, educators, and community partners in Winchester are creating a broader set of pathways through the district’s Emil & Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center, where young people explore real careers, collaborate with mentors, coaches and guides, and develop both academic knowledge and the durable skills needed for a rapidly changing world. This special screening offers an interactive preview of the film, beginning with a brief introduction from Ted Dintersmith followed by the opening segment of "Multiple Choice," which immediately immerses viewers in the story and the questions it raises about the future of learning. After the opening segment, Ted Dintersmith will be joined by Winchester Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jason Van Heukelum, one of the central leaders behind the transformation featured in the film. Together they will share behind-the-scenes insights, reflect on what it takes to bring this vision to life inside public and independent school systems, and invite the audience into a lively exchange about how schools can expand opportunity, purpose, and possibility for every learner. The session concludes with audience Q&A and an invitation for attendees to continue the journey by viewing and sharing the full film in their own communities.
