What if universities stopped running the same pilot twice?

Every institution runs its own EdTech evaluation cycle. A product validated at one university gets re-piloted from scratch at the next. Procurement timelines stretch beyond twelve months. Evidence generated at one campus transfers nowhere. Early-stage companies burn runway waiting for institutions to independently reach the same conclusion. Meanwhile, venture funding in EdTech has contracted 89% from its peak, and half of institutions are building AI capacity internally. The window for external products to prove their value is narrowing faster than procurement can move. This roundtable examines whether universities can build shared validation infrastructure for technology the way they already share research infrastructure. Participants will explore what evidence standards, governance structures, and institutional incentives would make a distributed validation network viable. Designed for Directors of Innovation, AVPs of Academic Technology, CIOs, and Deans of Online Learning.
