Funding the Future of Learning & Work: How the NSF is Supporting Emerging Industries

The bipartisan multi-billion dollar CHIPS and Science Act created the first new arm of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) in over thirty years. Since CHIPS, the NSF's new Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships Directorate has joined forces with the STEM Education directorate to launch new funding programs to promote technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-based economic development nationwide, focusing on fostering a robust STEM workforce.

With co-investment from industry and philanthropy, the agency has created new opportunities for universities, community colleges, K-12, workforce developers, labor, and employers to support the alignment of emerging technology and talent development nationwide.

Join this session to hear from experts across policy, industry, and philanthropy for a candid conversation about this particular moment and the potential for how these resources can help unlock what NSF Director Sethurman Panchanthan calls "innovation everywhere, opportunities anywhere."
