The Role of AI in Teaching: Teacher-Facing AI Solutions that Center Teachers in the AI Revolution

Despite promising AI innovation over the past several years, education technology design has yet to harness these advances within scalable, core instructional materials. Most of today’s AI-enhanced instructional tools are limited to student-facing point solutions like tutoring and intervention support. While valuable, these solutions too often overlook the critical role of teachers and peer-to-peer collaboration in the learning process and too often are not aligned with the school’s curriculum or instructional vision.

There is an untapped opportunity for AI to enable high-quality instruction that does not seek to replace teachers but equips, empowers, and accelerates their efforts. This panel discussion will explore the transformative potential of AI to support teachers in delivering effective instruction grounded in high-quality curriculum and illuminate how ANet, Kiddom, and Teaching Lab are collaborating on a comprehensive suite of resources to seize this opportunity.
