Abbey Prior

Abbey is the Vice President, Educator Engagement on the ASU+GSV Summit team, and brings 19 years of experience and commitment to pursuing equitable access to education across the globe. Her current work serves to engage and amplify the voices of educators at the ASU+GSV Summit and year round. She works closely with K-12 Superintendents, edtech innovators, and community stakeholders to shape meaningful programming that fosters relationship building and highlights breakthrough practices and innovations. She oversees initiatives like the Google GSV Education Innovation Fellowship, a year-long program in its second year that supports K-12 leaders in leveraging technology for transformational change, and the Educator x Entrepreneur Exchange, which fosters collaboration between educators and edtech innovators to solve pressing challenges in education. Abbey began her career teaching middle school special education in Brooklyn, NY, with Teach For America. With 12 years on TFA staff, she worked across recruitment, talent acquisition, learning and development, and HR strategy, ultimately serving as a Chief of Staff for the HR team. She also supported global educators through Teach For All’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, designing resources and CEO engagements to advance equity.Abbey earned her M.Ed. from PACE University and her B.A. from Boston College. She lives in Portland, Maine, with her son, partner, and dog.
