Adam Newman is a dynamic force in the education sector, bringing more than 25 years of experience in guiding boards and senior leadership teams through critical growth inflections. As cofounder and managing partner, he leads our consulting practice with an unrelenting drive to help businesses and institutions overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve transformative growth. Adam’s passion for education runs deep. He began his career on the frontlines as a K-12 educator and athletic coach in Boston and New Orleans before shifting into leadership roles that have shaped the future of education. Today, he partners with boards and senior leadership teams across educational institutions, edtech companies, foundations, and private equity firms, providing the strategic vision and hands-on expertise needed to drive meaningful impact. Before co-founding Tyton Partners, Adam was a director of investing banking at Berkery Noyes, where he launched the firm’s strategic advisory practice for education companies and investors. He also co-founded the Venture Capital in Education Summit, an annual event that convened early-stage companies and entrepreneurs to fuel innovation across the education sector. Previously, Adam served as managing vice president at Eduventures, where he led the firm’s industry-focused consulting and syndicated market research efforts. Across his tenure, he worked with executives across the education ecosystem to interpret shifting market dynamics and craft corporate and growth strategies. Earlier in his career, he was a senior manager at Corporate Executive Board, advising senior strategy executives at Global 2000 companies. Adam is a former elected school committee member and currently a Trustee at Exploration Schools.
