
Alex Laurs is the Chief Learning & Development Officer for EY Americas, where he leads enterprise learning across one of the world’s largest professional services organizations. His work sits at the intersection of leadership, skills, and emerging technology, with a focus on advancing a future focused learning agenda that helps businesses adapt to rapid change and shape the future of work. Prior to EY, Alex served as Global Head of Executive Development at Amazon, where he strengthened leadership capability across the company’s senior executive population. Before that, he held senior roles at Cisco—first as Head of HR Strategy & Operations, and later leading Learning & Careers globally. Earlier in his career, Alex spent 14 years at Accenture, where he was a Managing Director in the Talent & Organization Strategy practice, advising Fortune 500 organizations on HR transformation, learning strategy, and large scale change. At EY, Alex brings together his experience across advisory and operating roles to advance workforce development through learning—building equitable learning ecosystems that support leadership capability, skills evolution, and socio economic opportunity at scale. He is based in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife and two children.
