Amanda Peterson

Amanda Peterson is currently serving as the Interim Assistant State Superintendent at the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. Prior to this role, she was Director of Educational Improvement and Support at the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI), where she oversaw Title I programs, services for neglected/delinquent and homeless youth, and comprehensive support for low-performing schools. She is a dedicated educator, former classroom teacher, and active community leader. In addition to her role at NDDPI, she serves on the Bismarck Public Schools school board. Her expansive career in education includes time spent in the classroom as well as in school-level leadership roles.
