Amanda Willard

Amanda Willard is a Global Workforce Development Strategy Leader at Amazon, where she leads the Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) Strategic Workforce Development team. Her team builds innovative talent pipelines to address one of the world's most pressing challenges: closing the skilled trades gap as millions of positions go unfilled and the technician pool shrinks against growing demand.Amanda's portfolio spans eight program areas including military talent pathways, university partnerships, employer branding, selection science, internal mobility programs, and external community engagement. Her team designs scalable solutions that connect diverse talent, from transitioning service members to community college graduates, to high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing and maintenance engineering across Amazon's global operations network.Prior to Amazon, Amanda's career spans telecommunications, retail, technology, and banking, with deep expertise in strategic workforce planning, change management, and talent development.Amanda holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Communications.  She is a certified SHRM-SCP, SPHR.  She is an active voice in the workforce development community, collaborating with organizations including the National Governors Association (NGA), SkillsUSA, and the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).
