Andrew Carlins

MBA/MA Candidate @ Stanford

Stanford

Andrew Carlins is Co-Founder and CEO of Songscription. Andrew grew up with a stutter, and like many people who stutter, found that when he sang, his stutter went away. Accordingly, he (quite literally) found his voice through music. Andrew participated in musical theater and played the baritone saxophone and piano for over a decade, performing in marching band, pit orchestra, symphonic, and jazz ensemble settings. He is currently enrolled in Stanford's joint MBA-MA in education graduate program. Prior to attending Stanford, Andrew founded a nonprofit, Empowering Education Inc., and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company. He earned his B.S. and MMS degrees from Duke University.
