Andrew Ko is the founder of Kovexa, an advisory firm supporting universities, school systems, and edtech companies in modernizing education through data, AI, and innovative public-private partnerships. In May 2023, he was appointed Chief Innovation Advisor to AASA, where he drove new partnerships, investments, and solutions to transform public education. He currently advises the AI Task Force at LAUSD and the World Bank on global workforce development in emerging markets. With over 25 years of executive leadership at companies including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Samsung, and Deloitte, Andrew has led billion-dollar businesses, national initiatives like the White House's ConnectED, the largest cloud adoption in education, and global tech incubators focused on digital skills and entrepreneurship. He previously served on the Virginia State Board of Education and has been appointed to AI task forces by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and various K–12 districts.
