Annika is a senior at Pine Crest School, NASA Intern '23, MIT FutureMakers Intern '24, Co-Founder of KineX, and Researcher at University of Miami and FAU. She conducts research focused on computational methodologies for cancer detection, focusing in on specific aspects of the neural network process to improve clarity of tumor imaging for early stage cancers. Annika was honored at the Davidson Institute '24 for her work in computational detection, and has won 1st place at the International Forum on Research Excellence (IFoRE), Florida State Science Fair, and Broward Regional Fair. She has additionally competed in JSEHS and FJAS conferences, and has won 1st in the state for the American Computer Science League. In entrepreneurship, Annika is a co-founder of a startup (KineX) centered on aiding physical therapy with AI analysis, and has won a startup pitch at MIT for this app. In the future, Annika would like to work as a computational researcher alongsider her ventures as a med-tech entrepreneur.
