ParentSquare

Anupama (Anu) Vaid is the Founder and President of ParentSquare, overseeing all aspects of the company. She developed the idea for ParentSquare when her kids started school, realizing the need for streamlined communication and a deeper connection with her kids' teachers. Anu and her husband, Sohit Wadhwa, CEO of ParentSquare, launched ParentSquare in 2011 and spent the early years refining the platform with their local schools in Santa Barbara, California. In 2014, the company expanded nationwide after securing funding. In 2023, ParentSquare further propelled its growth with the acquisition of Remind, a communication platform used in over 80% of public schools and by 60% of teachers in the U.S. Under Anu and Sohit's leadership, ParentSquare has experienced over 500% growth in the last three years and is the leading provider of digital family and community engagement solutions for K-12 institutions, serving over 20 million students across all 50 states. Districts rely on the platform for mass notifications, classroom communications, school websites, translation in 190+ languages, and other everyday parent interactions. Integrations with Student Information Systems easily connect schools with families, advancing communication equity and impacting student success. Anu holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Delhi Technological University in New Delhi, India
